Meet the Financial Nomad

Dave Houser

For two decades, I dedicated myself to coaching college athletes, guiding them toward achievements once deemed unthinkable. Amid this, I overlooked my financial well-being, felt overwhelmed. Realizing the need for change, I delved into learning how to regain control over my finances, a journey sparked by a pivotal moment—an urgent call about my father having an accident.
Despite a love for my work, I felt trapped, locked in to my job for security. That moment ignited a conviction: there had to be a better way. Ten years later, Financial Nomad (FN) was born—a venture aimed at empowering others to comprehend and master their financial realities.
At FN, we define a nomad as being adept at readiness and self-reliance, pursuing life on their terms and having less restrictions. Our mission/duty is to guide families to take back control of their financial future, refusing society’s pressure of deferring life until retirement.
I now serve as the coach I wished for two decades ago. My aim is to mentor others in structuring their financial present for immediate benefit and future success, empowering them to embrace life’s abundance now, not just in the distant retirement years.
